You will be notified by mail of your specific audition day and time. Arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in and warm-up.
Please note that students DO NOT need to audition for both Symphony and Attacca. If you audition for Symphony, you will be placed in either Symphony or Attacca based on that audition.
Complete the appropriate Audition Registration form and return with $15.00 to FMAYS, 808 3rd Ave S, Suite 302, Fargo ND 58103.
All musicians must read and sign the FMAYS Code of Conduct in order to audition/participate in FMAYS. This has been created for the safety of all FMAYS musicians, and is found in each audition area.

Junior high audition materials
Students entering grades 7 or 8 may audition for the Junior High Concert Strings. Younger students may be eligible to audition; please contact the FMAYS office to discuss. Audition requirements include a prepared solo, scales, and excerpts. The recommended tempo for all excerpts is quarter note = 92bpm.
ATTACCA STRINGS AUDITION MATERIALS
Students entering grades 9-12 may audition for the Attacca Strings. Audition requirements include a one minute prepared solo and the appropriate scale for your instrument as listed below.
